Fifth Grade

Microorganisms, Oceanography, US History, Simple Machines, Human Body Systems, and Marine Science are just some of the areas of study for Briarwood's Fifth Grade team (which includes the Science Tech Magnet) and their students.  They take a float voyage through the Puget Sound and go on the Outdoor Learning Experience trip to Camp Colman in late May-June.  This is a three day two night environmental education camp where students are able to apply their classroom knowledge in a natural setting.  The Camp Colman trip is a major milestone in the career of a Briarwood Bear!
