Major Projects 2007-08

 These are dates decided on at the beginning of the year.  These dates are malleable and dependent upon our progress this year.

1.      “What is History?” PowerPoint presentation – (September/October)

2.      Explorer report (persuasive letter) and PowerPoint presentation – (November).

3.      Oceanography Science Kit (October/November).

4.      American Revolution (January) 2-3 page typed double spaced and PowerPoint presentation.

5.      African-American Report 2-3 and PowerPoint Presentation (February).

6.      Simple Machines (December/January).

7.      Science Fair (April/May) Scientific Inquiry (experiment/process).

8.      American Idol project (Late May early June).

Fifth grade Math, Reading and Science W.A.S.L. will be administered between April 14-May 2nd.

The Stanford Achievement Testing (this is a bubble test like the I.T.B.S. tests we have taken in the past) will take place between February 4-14.
