Here are the recent explorer Power Point projects the kids have been working on. For this activity the students studied a specific European explorer and were then asked to write a persuasive letter asking King Coyne to fund their next voyage. The below link are to the Power Points.
Below are the links to the student's persuasive explorer letter. For this letter the kids were asked to write about their vast explorer experience, explain their plan and supplies needed to execute the plan, and finally convince King Coyne how rich he is going to be if he funds their voyage. Enjoy.
To start off the year we did a "What is History ?" project. For this activity the students were asked to interview two people that they knew that grew up in a different generation. The kids then compiled their information and created a PowerPoint presentation for the class. To make their presentations even more interesting, the kids researched their interviewee's responses and found pictures to compliment their slide show. Here are a few to sample.
