Briarwood Elementary School 17020 SE 134th Street Renton, WA 98059-7020 425-837-5027 Dear Parents: Hello! Welcome to Fifth Grade at Briarwood Elementary for the 2007-2008 school year! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Mr. Phil Rossiter. Your child will be in my class this year. This is my twenty-third year of teaching. This is my eleventh year of teaching in the Issaquah School District. Prior to that, I taught for twelve years in the Olathe, Kansas School District. I am honored to be working for the Issaquah School District, and am proud to be a part of the Briarwood community. I have Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Elementary Education from the University of Kansas. Go Jayhawks! My wife of twenty years, Jeanette, and I are parents of an nine year old boy, named Colin, who is in the third grade this year!. We also have two gray and white haired cats named Abercrombie and C.K! We live in Sammamish, which is just a twenty-minute drive from Briarwood. At the present time, twenty-one students are enrolled in my class. I am anticipating an exciting school year. We have a beautiful school filled with excellent equipment. I look forward to meeting all of you at some point in the school year.
